As a Perakian born and bred, I love this to the core. It might not be the most seemingly "intellectually stimulating" film per se but if you really dig in to it, you'll find the excessive use of political commentaries and satire packed within in. One of the most prominent examples is in the relunctancy of the villagers in relying to medical assistance. They refused to call authorised medical personnels to help them in times of terror and even forget about seeking help altogether, depicting the reality of a society that solely forgets the importance of credible sources and of which depended irrelevantly towards their strong superstitious belief. They preferred making their own assumptions as to why the zombie breakout happened instead of listening to actual doctors. Kudos to this movie
